Centre Ave YMCA Garden

Community Farm Land is gardened collectively by volunteers and sometimes paid staff, where produce is shared among volunteers, donated, and/or sold for no profit. Includes food pantry, gardens, and food forests.
Residents of the Centre Avenue YMCA can join our project.
Mission Statement: This Y is a program center which focuses on providing transitional housing for men. The garden was started in 2014 with the help of Grow Pittsburgh’s City Growers program. There are seven raised beds that grow herbs and vegetables to be used in the daily feeding program. The garden has hopes of expansion, including planting some perennial fruits and building more raised beds. The gentlemen that reside on site tend for the garden.
