Zenshine Community Garden & Labyrinth: “A Space to Cultivate Your Mind & Body”

The Zenshine Community Garden & Labyrinth Project is a 5 Points Marketeer Group initiative that features a labyrinth, rain garden, and a fruit orchard in the Valley Refuge area of Riverview Park.

Vision, Mission, and Values

• Our Vision: Zenshine Community Garden is a place where all people of all abilities can build relationships, learn about managing stress reduction through meditation and labyrinth walks, and learn to live a healthier lifestyle through gardening and fitness training.
• Our Mission: Zenshine Community Garden will be a welcoming outdoor place focusing on people, sustainable organic gardening, orcharding, stress reduction, learning, teaching, and healthy food choices.
• Our Values: We’re welcoming, inclusivity, and earth-minded.

To achieve our Vision and Mission, our Zenshine Community Garden will:

• allow members to participate in decision-making and consider the social and community impacts of the decision
• work with and through others committed to building healthy and active communities
• develop partnerships and networks with government, community, public and private sector
• Focus on the sustainability of programs and initiatives over the longer term
• act against discrimination – treating everyone as “equal” and with respect.
