The Garden Get Down is our annual celebration that uplifts fresh food and gardening, while raising money to support Grow Pittsburgh’s programming.

Join us on Tuesday, August 13, to celebrate the many ways that growing and sharing fresh local food is helping neighborhoods across Allegheny County.

The Garden Get Down brings together community members, educators, and gardeners for a fun-filled night of fresh local food, specialty drinks, and garden related activities. This all-ages party is a great way to connect with local gardeners and farmers, learn about Grow Pittsburgh’s work to increase fresh food access, or just to enjoy a great meal and a night out with friends!

This year’s Garden Get Down will feature a community seed swap, tours of the Gardens of Millvale, and a small awards ceremony that celebrates local champions of fresh food access. Sprezzatura and Grist house will be highlighting fresh, local fruits and veggies through their delicious food and drinks.

Tell your friends, bring your family, and mark your calendars! This summer celebration will be a night that you don’t want to miss.

Garden Get Down is a fundraiser with sliding scale tickets. Please give as generously as you can. All proceeds benefit Grow Pittsburgh’s work to help teach people how to grow food and to promote the many benefits gardens bring to our neighborhoods.
