West Penn Healthy Food Center Garden

The Healthy Food Center program within the Allegheny Health Network provides free, nutritious food to AHN patients experiencing food insecurity. Patients are referred to the program by their AHN doctor and visit once a month for direct food provision and nutrition education. The West Penn HFC Garden supplies the center with fresh, locally grown produce options for the patients. It is currently maintained by HFC staff and community volunteers. There are plans to include educational tours and workshops focusing on nutrition and growing food in the program.
