The Ormsby Children's Community Garden

The Ormsby Children’s Community Garden is a garden created by South Side Community Council in partnership with CitiParks Ormsby Rec Center and South Side Kids. This garden was created in 2021. Volunteers dug out the grass from the area every Saturday in Summer 2021. First planting was in Spring of 2022. The children of Ormsby Rec Center harvested the garden every Tuesday and put out the produce for community members to take. The children are also taught how to plant, water, and take care of the garden.
