Community Garden, also known as an allotment garden, where people rent or adopt individual beds to grow crops.
We allot beds or growing space to individuals – $20 – $50, based on plot size. Availability varies throughout the year.
Residents of the garden neighborhood, Lawrenceville and Bloomfield, can join our project.
Mission Statement: We provide a lively, community gardening experience to our members and neighbors while beautifying our little sliver or Lawrenceville.
Established 1996
Project Partners: Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh
Our growing space operates early spring through late fall, dawn to dusk.
Our produce is consumed by our volunteers.
There are other activities – such as annual seedling exchange, seed planting, garden kick off and clean up events, harvest picnic – that take place at our project.
We grow in 26 plots of various sizes.
