Irrigation Systems for Urban Growers

May 11 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

We will discuss the basics of designing and building an irrigation system for your garden. Proper irrigation is the number one way you can improve crop yields and have better-tasting fruit and vegetables. We will discuss the benefits and trade-offs of drip tape vs overhead sprinklers for delivering water to your crops. We will also review options for automating your watering with timers! We will have an opportunity for hands-on assembling irrigation parts and walking through your irrigation system needs.

Want to workshop your irrigation set up? Bring along a detailed drawing! Be sure to include specific measurements of your growing space, including dimensions of the space overall, the length and width of all your beds, the placement of any water sources, and their distance from each bed.

This event is part of our “Growing to the Next Level” series held in partnership with Pasa Agriculture.
