The Dormont Community Garden was established in 2021 as an initiative of Dormont Arts to bring art and beauty through gardening into the Borough of Dormont.
In its inaugural year it was two separate gardens located in Beggs Snyder Park and Dormont Park. Fundraising for garden materials was focused on community donations from residents and businesses who were able to show their support by personalizing a 5-gallon bucket container for garden vegetables or rain barrel for water collection and storage.
In 2022 space behind the Dormont Borough Building was allotted to combine both smaller gardens into one larger centrally located garden.
