Winter is often a quiet, still season, but Grow Pittsburgh has been brimmed with activity, including some staff changes. Transitions are bittersweet, but we’re excited for what 2018 holds for all of us.

In Community Projects, Marisa Manheim is transitioning away from Grow Pittsburgh. She currently serves as Director of Policy, while Rayden Sorock is stepping into his new role as Director of Community Projects. Alyssa Kail has traded Braddock Farms for a desk, accepting a new position as Community Garden Sustainability Coordinator. Finally, new hire Claire Mataway has replaced AJ Bisesi as a Community Garden Coordinator.

Our education team is also experiencing some turnover. Garden Educators Michelle Soto and Will Tolliver are leaving, but our schools are sure to love Erin Gaughan and Emily Voelker.

Meanwhile, Nick Lubecki is the new manager of Braddock Farms and newcomer Hanna Mosca was hired to take his place managing Shiloh Farm as well as Grow Pittsburgh’s operation in The Frick Pittsburgh’s greenhouse. Both production locations are now hiring farm assistants.

We’ll be featuring our new hires (and collaborations with some of our departing team members!) right here on the Grow Pittsburgh blog.
