Restaurant Partners

One of the main ways that we support our production sites and programs is through our partnerships with local food distributors and restaurants. By partnering with Grow Pittsburgh, distributors and chefs have the ability to support local, sustainable agriculture by purchasing a portion of their produce from our production sites at the Frick Greenhouse and Braddock Farms.

By utilizing the urban farmland at Braddock Farms, the Frick Greenhouse, the Frick Outdoor Kitchen Garden, and the Shiloh Peace Farm, we are able to provide our restaurant partners with a unique variety of produce throughout the year. Even in the depths of winter we grow in the Greenhouse at the Frick such as lettuce greens, turnips, beets, and a variety of herbs.

In order to ensure that our restaurant partners receive the freshest produce possible, we send out a weekly updated list of the produce that we have ready for harvest. We often make deliveries  to the same restaurants and grocery stores on a weekly basis.

We at Grow Pittsburgh believe that by working directly with distributors and chefs committed to sourcing locally, we build a stronger and more sustainable urban agriculture community in Pittsburgh.
